THINGS TO DO FOR FREE IN ROME PT. 2

Our friends of Hostelworld have put together a list of 15 things to do for free in Rome and as you will see, there is much Rome has to offer completely free of charge.

  1. Check out some of Rome’s neighbourhoods

Don’t neglect the opportunity to get to know some of Rome’s eminent neighbourhoods.

Testaccio lies just east of the Tiber and is the home of a great artificial mount composed of the fragments of broken amphorae (a type of ancient Roman jar).

These fragments were discarded by ancient trade ships docked on the Tiber. Monte Testaccio is now a hugely important archaeological site.

For those who like to burn the candle at both ends, it’s also renowned for its nightlife, with lots of clubs found on Via di Monte Testaccio.

Or you could check out the lovely cobbled streets and medieval houses of Trastevere on the west bank of the Tiber. There, you can also visit the marble plaque in memory of the Spaghetti Western film director, Sergio Leone, who grew up in Viale Glorioso.

After a day of sightseeing in Rome and Trastevere the best place to rest is placed in Trastevere; HOSTEL TRUSTEVER located in Via Francesco Benaglia, 13.
As living a private life, into the heart of Trastevere, nearby Porta Portese Market living the emotion of waking up in the Sunday morning, after a beautiful swim or a, watching outside the most famous market and being involved with careness.
As having dinner in the most famous and gorgeous corners of Trastevere, breathing the typical way of living of local Roman People as well as the Eternal City.
